API Estate Intelligence
Every API is a star. Most of yours have never been charted.
Discovery & identity
You know the bright ones.
Hermes finds the rest, from outside and from whatever you hand it, and resolves every sighting into one stable identity. Five coordinates. Nothing else gets to be a star.

Evidence first
Light is evidence.
Every conclusion traces back to an immutable record. And darkness is not one thing: absence has three meanings, and Hermes keeps them apart.
Lifecycle intelligence
The five lifecycle states
Active
A star on its main sequence.
Served, documented and in use. The healthy case, and still something you had to show rather than assume.
Shadow
A mass you know only by what bends around it.
Answering or being called, with no declaration anywhere that it should exist. Nobody chose to expose it.
Zombie
Light from a star that has already died.
Retired on paper, still answering, and nothing calling it. Attack surface nobody is looking after.
Deprecated
Swollen, cooling, and out of time.
Its owner has marked it for retirement. Hermes tracks that it actually goes.
Superseded
Eclipsed by what replaced it.
A newer version is established on the same host. Whether the old one can go is the next question.
A state is a ranked hypothesis, not a label. When a condition has no evidence, Hermes calls it a candidate and names what is missing.
Deterministic before AI
The messenger comes last.
Most of what Hermes concludes, it reaches by rule, with the working shown. Agents are sent only when the evidence conflicts, the confidence falls short, or you launch a mission. They read those conclusions. They never recompute them.
- EvidenceImmutable records from every connector
- EntityOne identity per API, resolved by rule
- PropertiesOwnership, liveness, auth, exposure, each with its proof
- IntelligenceLifecycle as ranked hypotheses
Privacy Gateway
Your names stay on this side.
Every model call passes through one gateway. Nothing that identifies you crosses until it has been replaced with a token, and the vault that maps them back never leaves your infrastructure.

Investigation missions
Eight worlds. One order.
You launch a mission, and it runs the full sequence every time. No agent can be skipped, not even for speed. Then the Planner decides if it needs to go round again.
Planner · Mercury
Breaks the mission into small questions. Hermes’ own planet, and the one that decides if another cycle is needed.
Continuous monitoring
Leave the shutter open.
Hermes keeps looking. New evidence re-evaluates what it concluded, every change lands in the property's history, and only a real change raises an alert. A first answer is not drift.
